Author of books you have yet to read, because I have yet to finish them. I also love critters. A lot.

As a child, I longed for adulthood. In my ignorance, I believed my days as an adult would be filled with the joys of my soul, no one to tell me how to spend the time I hold dear.

Then dishes appeared. And vacuuming. And cat boxes. And laundry. And cooking.

Dadgumit. 🤣

We cancelled our Prime subscription recently, but we decided to watch #Carrie while it’s still active. I love Mike Flanagan’s work and am enjoying his adaptation of Stephen King’s “Carrie” so far.

Midnight Mass is still my favorite so far. That show was phenomenal!

I didn’t realize #BannedBookWeek is here! To be honest, I had no idea it was a thing. Here’s to learning new things! 🍻

Looks like I need to start 1984 today!

I am here to announce that all files (from all accounts) have been moved from #GoogleDrive to #ProtonDrive! All files on Google have been moved and deleted with the utmost contempt.

Do you like privacy and security? Check out @proton.me. There are alternatives out there that won't steal your data.

Over the past two weeks I have barely written. I can make every excuse under the sun, but the fact is that I have not been intentional with what free time I do have.

I suspect I would feel less guilty if I wrote even a few words or edited a sentence or two.

Baby steps, I suppose.

Damn fine advice.

I finished the first draft of my #novella. A part of me struggles with the idea of ending it where I have.

I suspect going through and working on the second draft will help with some of what I feel are loose ends or ancillary bits.

My feed is all politics lately. I need to engage with more #booksky and #author stuffs.

It’s important to stay informed, but this political environment can only be taken in small doses at times.

“Shocking”? Really? Who the hell is shocked at this statement of fact?
The most hateful shit on planet Earth 🌎 and beyond.

This may be a hot take to some, but it seems to me the #Monster shows peaked at the first series.

The creative liberties seem to become more and more.

If you haven’t read Nicholas Kaufmann’s *The Hungry Earth*, then that needs to be on your to-read list!

Fantastic story, great characters, and some seriously suspenseful moments await you in this wonderful fungal horror!
Whenever I see a list that's like, "horror books nobody is talking about," I get excited and think maybe somebody has finally noticed my work, but then it turns out my books aren't on _that_ list either. 🤪

I love to read and write, but I also love video games. #RuneScapeDragonwilds 1.0 release notes has got me feeling nostalgic in a profound way 😳

I need to look at my phone less and open a book more.

At times, as I scroll through copious amounts of content, I justify to myself that I’m looking for books to read, ideas to turn into stories, or people to pay attention to because they’re cool.

The truth? I’m bored and could be reading a book.

Couldn’t have said it better myself!

As @paultremblay.bsky.social said, “There’s no ethical way to use AI.” Oh, and he also said, [see photo]. And @johnlangan.bsky.social agrees!

We picked up two elderberry shrubs today. I am over the moon for the future of these plants and what they mean for the critters that frequent our yard 🤘

Every news outlet and journalist should be reporting on the blatant lies of this vile, atrocious, pathetic excuse for a bag of bones. Calling him “human” is an insult to humanity.
Could you imagine anyone else in the history of history, let alone the President of the United States, so blatantly defiling the memory of our fallen brethren? What a terrible, broken person.

There are so many good books in this world and I want to read them all. . . .

A little look under the hood as I learn how I will use #Scrivener. I'm a tad inconsistent on word count per chapter, so I may need to re-work a few things.

Do you use Scrivener when writing long-form? I like it so far, but look forward to #Proton making improvements to their #ProtonDocs formatting.

My move from #Google to @proton.me has gone very smoothly and I can say there are zero regrets. If you like security, privacy, and telling monopolies what you think with your actions, I highly recommend giving #Proton a look-see.

I’m 35 minutes into #ISwear and I’m already crying and rated it 5/5.

“No apologies.” ❤️

I’ve begun my move from #Google to #Proton. Top of mind was separating from a monopoly, then enjoying better privacy and security, and lastly is keeping my data protected from AI.

So far, Proton has exceeded my expectations! The peace of mind I feel knowing my data is safe is worth every penny.
