There is simply no way any British Gov can stay outside an associate membership scheme that Canada, Australia & New Zealand are pert of.
I must say I never had it on my cards that our way back into the EU would be via the Commonwealth - but it would be great!

Trump has massively sped up America's decline but he isn't the big reason; we are guilty of doing globalism & capitalism the wrong way.

The point being that Canada has managed in just a few months to negotiate 'associate membership' while the UK is still faffing around with minute incremental changes to the disastrous Johnson Brexit deal.

I think a Russian attack on Poland, with or without the USA, & with or without NATO, would go very badly for Russia.

Obvious that these people are engaged in an attempt to buy our democracy to end all oversight of capatalism. The Gov is behaving like a rabbit in the headlights with it's totally insufficient Representation of the People Act 2026. We should be banning crypto and impossing donation limits (say £100K)

The BBC are running very strange headlines as regards Ukraine. The other day they ran a headline about Ukraine evacuating the fortress belt cities without mentioning the dramatic success of the Lyman counter-offensive. Definite Reform types in the editor's office.

You can't fire missiles at a fleet unless someone with with an advanced satellite surveillance system tells you where the fleet is. That someone is Russia and yet Trump is still best friends with Putin despite them just trying to sink 5000 US sailors.

Almost all US rail freight depends on diesel. Therefore almost everything will go up in price not just diesel. You have got to get some grown ups to end this war.

By closing the Bab el Mandeb Strait the Houthis have closed the Suez Canal. Now the Suez Canal leads to Europe not America. This is going to become our problem, possibly military problem, very, very quickly.

As the 21st Century unfurls one thing is becoming increasingly clear; oligarchical fascism and the fossil fuel industry are joined at the hip. This petrol-fascism is the thread that links 9/11, Saddam, the Ayatollahs, Bush, Trump & Putin. I don't think we can defeat one without the other.

In the early years of WW2 Britain suffered defeat after defeat. Churchill was concerned that our soldiers would not fight. It took the Beveridge Report, and the promise of something better to give the troops something worth fighting for.

The UK should have negotiated a joint position with our close friends in Canada and then approached the EU alongside Canada. Opportunity missed.

The government should be running daily TV and social media adds on the decline in numbers and the real conditions refugees face in the UK. At the moment they have completely lost the narrative.
