The Rural Talent Lab is a collaboration between @arrc.bsky.social, @sheeoed.bsky.social, & HCM Strategists to develop middle-skill credential pathways in partnership with rural stakeholders to empower rural learners, workers, and communities.

Last week, we wrapped up our final statewide listening tour in Montana! It was an honor to connect with local leaders in Colstrip, Glasgow, and Thompson Falls. We’re grateful for time spent in these communities and excited to continue working with the state team on middle skill pathway development.

Day 3 of our PA Listening Tour was in Monaca it was a total win! 🙌 A huge thank you to the Community College of Beaver County for being such amazing hosts, and to Beaver Bagel Co. for keeping us fueled with the best bagels! 🥯✨

The Rural Talent Lab is back on the road. This time in Pennsylvania! Our first stop included Tannersville and Stroudsburg. We really appreciated our discussion with local leaders and look forward to the rest of the week.

Last week 150+ leaders from 34 states and territories joined NGA’s Workforce Pell Implementation Lab. @drandrewk.bsky.social represented @ruarltalentlabs to share that rural communities are asking for opportunities close to home. Workforce Pell can help — but only if implementation is intentional.

The WV Listening Tour concluded today in Princeton, WV. Strong participation from higher education and local government sectors highlighted the importance of expanding middle-skill credential pathways. Insights gathered will help rural residents live, learn, and earn in the places they call home.

Day 2 of the West Virginia Listening Tour included both Mullens and Welch. Our Town Halls revealed how unique these communities are while also demonstrating the power of rural resilience.

Our first visit of the West Virginia Listening Tour was Marlinton, WV. Our Town Hall with local leaders combined with individual interviews throughout the community yielded some amazing talking points with the state team. We are excited to continue the conversations in two communities tomorrow!
