I'll admit, part of why I'm so skeptical of the emerging realignment thesis of this election is that it just seems so *random* that it would happen NOW, after ten years of Trump being a remarkably consistent public figure and ten years of remarkably consistent political trends.

They manufactured a shoplifting crisis which were characterized in hushed tones by inventing shoplifting gangs all over the country the last time the police did a slowdown.
Because the Police Officers Union will hold city officials hostage if they actually hold individual officers accountable. The cops will signal it’s a free for all for criminal chaos. And then hand the blame to City Hall will the city burns. And those elected officials will lose office.
