We must stand in solidarity with Jews being attacked by antisemitic criminals and terrorists: no ifs or buts. We must stand in solidarity with Palestinians being murdered by the Israeli government: no ifs or buts. These are not contradictory positions. They are consistent ones. 🧵1/5

Utterly cruel, pointless and harmful. It does not minimise how bad Conservatives were to say Labour are now the most anti-asylum government in most people's living memory. This prevents people feeling any sense of safety and security after fleeing persecution.

Not unless you want to take the blame for every person in your social demographic.
Bad people exist in every group. That's not an excuse to use the actions of individuals to target those groups, particularly already marginalised groups

Dark direction indeed..
Keir Starmer’s new director of communications isn’t just the founder of Portland Communications – which represented Qatar, Russia and Kazakhstan – he’s also come straight from the board of the anti-trans charity Sex Matters.

The government is heading in a dark direction.

Yet another letter to my MP. This is unthinkable for a labour government. Pandering to the right, cruel and ineffectual. Surely removing safe routes means more people taking dangerous routes or remaining undocumented.

For those of you still going on about "men" in womens toilets, please think about what you are contributing to.
On Friday, hundreds of transgender and queer New Yorkers and their allies gathered outside the Stonewall Inn to declare that a brazen act of historical revisionism from the Trump administration would not stand. Here's what I saw and heard over about 10 interviews:
