America, in the long term, let 9/11 change it for the worse. I think that had Newt Gingrich’s impact on Congress and a Gore Presidency had happened one can argue the nation would’ve pulled through it better (if it even would’ve happened at all).

I’m really confused on what your definition on winning and losing a war looks like because this makes zero logical sense.
The US has quite literally NEVER won a war. We legit lost our own civil war to our lower selves and that’s why shit looks the way it does now.

To say the USA and its Allies didn’t win WW2 cleanly when the UN and the post-WW2 world order was/has been dominated but us, France, Britain, Chinese, and Russian interests is perplexing at best.
