If humanity ends because of a reduction in rape and an increase in women's autonomy then let it fucking choke in the dirt for all I care.
This is the greatest issue facing our species and it really bothers me that it has been politicized that caring about this is seen as super right wing. Wanting the human race to continue to exist is a progressive view.

i think discussing art about images should confront the way its depiction of women can be connected to misogynistic norms. however, it can't end just there b/c a work where well-designed female characters are slotted into misogynistic characterization or women simply don't exist is also misogyny

What's gutting about this is that Juniper seems to have had a family who supported and loved her, she was in a community that has been explicitly welcoming to trans people, and a man still murdered her. She was living the life so many trans people can only dream of, and it simply didn't matter.
