@shieldsbrief.bsky.social Also on SNB, should Lions have played 4 games already, ideally no,but aren't also the teams who've only played one game equally at fault for the disparity. Surely everyone should have played at least 2 games by now!

Following on from SNB, Emilis Zibuda was born in the UK & has only played for Lithuania at junior level, so could still play for GB men. Wrong player to pick on in this scenario!

well. @gbbasketball.bsky.social basically says hold my beer to those of us vaguely critical of super league basketball. Awarding a license (apparently) to a new group without having any of the current clubs on board? How is that going to work?

Sound going off for 2nd half, Josh is very knowledgeable but he talks soooo much!! It's irritating me & spoiling my enjoyment of the game.

Just a wild question popped into my head whilst watching the game tonight. Could Aaryn Rai play for GB?

The podcast returns! In this episode we speak with Reading CEO Matt Johnson about non-SLB teams joining the SLB Cup, take a look at why the player pathway is so important and also look at players who made a name for themselves in the NBL before going on to play abroad.

Absolutely gutted that Jordan Taylor has left London Lions. He will be hugely missed both on and off court for Lions & the league.
True professional & high quality player. We were very lucky that we got to see him play in this country.

Great game tonight & fantastic result. Ciaran Sandy, take a bow!! The only player on the roster tonight who was with us last year. He knew what this meant & he went out and got us the win!
Every player played their part in a fantastic win. Well worth the journey!

Some thoughts from last night.
Hadzibegovic put-back throw-down was elite!!
Adebayo is getting better each week, defensively excellent, now finding his offence.
Unsurprisingly, when Flood got extended minutes he became more confident & more effective, plenty to come from him.

No JT in the building for Lions, gonna make this really difficult.

Good to see Sam Dekker back in action & playing good minutes in his 1st game for Badalona. Played down the stretch which shows the belief the coach must already have in him.
I'd prefer of course if he was in a London Lions kit!
