I've just finished reading A Catalogue of Catastrophe in my @www.joditaylorbooks.com reread.
Finishing one of her books always leaves me feeling extremely happy and content. They are just so very good.

There's still plenty of room for more Trans authors in this SciFi & Fantasy bundle. Also, I forgot to say in the criteria below; Romance and NSFW which also has a SciFi/ Fantasy plot is welcome.

Today's a great day to support some creators.

Writers and artists and creatives of all sorts: reply with a link to one of your works, if you'd like. And feel free to tell us about it.

Everyone: let's check through the replies and buy some creations and support some human beings.

I had (I think) my first experience of lucid dreaming last night.
There is a lovely place that I've visited several times in my dreams and always wished existed in reality. I was there last night and realised that being there meant I was dreaming. So I took a little bit of control to see if I 1/

One week to Wiz-4 launching. As well as @samarcand.northsky.social 's tender "Marooned on Ceres" with a world changing queer encounter... in "Top Tips for Loving a Lizard" Harry muses on the absolute unlikelihood of there being aliens secretly hiding on earth...
... while he's shagging one. #booksky
“The universe was so old and so big, Harry quite accepted there might be intelligence out there somewhere but it would take them thousands of years to travel. He was also convinced that the tribal god of a small sandy plot in the Middle East had not created the world, let alone the universe. So, who knows what aliens would look like, or think, or how they would have sex? Maybe they’d reproduce by cutting pieces off and repotting them, like his Mum’s geraniums. Normal people had no time for the idea that the aliens would turn up, then hide, so they could manipulate world zinc prices or something. And how long could they stay secret, really?” You, Dear Reader, know that Aiden is a lizard. Harry is shagging him and doesn’t.

Excerpt from from Marooned Off Ceres. So, there we were, walking through the centre of town. Mother had allowed me to paint her shell with a rainbow for the occasion and she looked very snazzy. I had blue, pink and white stripes on my cheek and lesbian flag-coloured nails. It was lots of fun. Loud and joyous and, frankly, queer as fuck. Emma was there as well, walking along beside me, unseen by anyone else. As we passed by the War Memorial, she turned to me, a look of fear on her face. ‘There’s somebody with a gun,’ she said. ‘He’s going to shoot me—I mean, Mother.’

It is Book Quote Wednesday and the word is 'treat'. Your treat for today is an extract from 'Incoming' by JL George, one of the many fine stories in They Are Still Here, on pre-order now:
wizardstowerpress.co...
Her people lived beneath the waves. They had done for centuries, since her father left dry land. Rhys Dwfn was his name—Rhys of the deep, the wise, the long-lived. He’d warned them to stay away from the world above. Land-dwellers had never done him any good, and surely they’d treat his daughters no better. But Rhys had grown set in his ways. The longer he lived, the more adamant he was that the human world would never change. He was not exactly wrong. They saw the evidence of that every day, washed into the sea—all the land-dwellers’ waste, plastics that never rotted as live things do, nets that caught up the creatures of the sea and throttled the life from them. Oil, sometimes, an acrid, clinging poison. And sewage, choking clouds of effluent that lingered in the water for days, making the sea-dwellers sick, so that they came to dread the rain.

Absolutely it has!

We now have the situation where, if a trans woman with a GRC were to get married, she’d be recognise as female for the wedding ceremony, but should not be using the women’s toilets at her wedding reception, unless they’re designated as trans inclusive.

On our episode, Flint demonstrates their intrepidity while Ashleigh largely stays home. We cover:
