A lot of people seem to think that "all people with felony convictions" are somehow like Donald Trump. 8% of the population has a felony conviction. 1/3 of Black men do. People need to readjust their thinking about "felons" and see who they are talking about! (And pause to consider their own bias?)

in my history of hooking up with somewhere north of 35 guys or so, 3 ignored consent (of which one instance was rape). theyre shit odds and it happens a ton but thats still like, not most of em. i dunno i just feel like "most guys are rapists" is a bad/dangerous message. maybe "too many guys are"

Yes, but academic knowledge has value in and of itself so we have to be careful of arguments like: academic knowledge needs to have an application to be funded. That's a core argument used by companies to force us to only research what they like & to marginalise critique as having no applications.
