SIGNAL BOOST PLEASE.

I am a high school teacher, hoping to get some help with classroom supplies for the upcoming school year!

Our school's enrollment has dropped because of ICE, impacting the budget and leading to massive layoffs. I could use community help! (1/n)

Forgot to show off the two 6x6” pieces that i have in a small show at Red River Theatre. They are there for the month of July. I’m beyond happy I actually finished a couple of projects and like them both!

@starsie.bsky.social A very very happy birthday to you! I hope it has been a delight, just like you are! 💖🎉🎂🥂

I'm so tired of stupid fireworks being shot off in my neighborhood days before excusable fireworks. My poor dogs are living in their thundershirts as soon as it gets dark this week. Too many people I live near are assholes.

Apropos of nothing, I wish people would stop linking to Amazon quite so often when recc’ing products and books or providing wishlists. Sigh. And, no, I don’t use them or 🎯, and yes, I’ll look for said things elsewhere. I just wish they were less ubiquitous.

I am so frustrated with these lying, thieving, callous, broken people running roughshod over everyone for kicks and $. I'm equally frustrated with the weak, ineffectual, out-of-touch, pretending-to-not-be broken people with their heads squarely up their asses not helping when they could be. FFS.

Dear @support.bsky.team I don’t like that after I click on an image or video I’m brought back to the top of my feed. I want to go back to where I was. Am I missing some setting? Thanks for looking into it!

Is there a point where a political party sucks so badly that gerrymandering in their favor doesn’t matter or work? Asking for a nation.

Is there a German word for the hope I feel when I get on social media after a longish break and check to see if anything major has happened in a positive direction?

As a Gen Xer, I can tell you boomers and even my own generation comparing their 20s to today’s 20-30 year-olds needs to stop. I paid $600 for a West Hollywood apartment at 23. Today it’s $3500. Burgers weren’t $20, they were $6 to $8 in a nice restaurant. Life is not comparable.

We adopted this beautiful girl yesterday after three years of sponsoring her at a sled dog kennel not far from us. She’s 11 1/2 and has finally retired to our couch. We could not be more happy to have her chillin’ out with us. She’s a sweet, smart, curious lady.

I bet now would be a great time to own/operate one of those places that allows you to smash plates and glasses. Sounds divinely cathartic.

I'm finishing this year having read/listened to 107 books. They were a mix of mystery, sci fi, and fantasy, with a dash of psychology. Mostly they were my best effort to get some respite from the shitshow we are currently living in. So, thanks authors for giving me a fun place to shove my brain.

@passeriform.bsky.social You will be pleased to hear I got a starter fountain pen for Xmas. It is a Pilot Kakuno and I have the black ink that came with it and a box of blue cartridges too. I’m excited to play with it!

Today, the Artist group I belong to had our holiday lunch & we exchanged artist trading cards (ATCs). I waited until the last minute, did a somewhat complicated design, & only got 4hrs of sleep. I finished making 15 white line block prints of a Spirograph design 5 minutes b/f walking out the door.🤦🏻‍♀️

It’s my birthday month.

Not normally a thing I’m very public on BUT it means I’ve put a sale on my silly, absurdist not-level-20 adventure.

I had so much fun making it and I really hope others out there get to have as much fun torturing* their players.

I feel like this about Democrat leadership damn near every effin’ day.
a man in a suit is sitting at a desk with papers and a notebook
Alt: A gif of Alan Rickman angrily flipping a table and dumping everything on it (papers, random personal things) into the air and onto the floor.

Proud of #concordnh today! Amazing turnout for the #nokings protest. Fun costumes and fabulous signs! I wore my Hannah Arendt quote from “On Revolution” on the back of my clothes.
