Only thing missing is some kind of assembly workbench/motion simulation, but thays firmly in the "nice to have but not necessary" category and can always import into blender for posing and stuff. Also on linux which fusion doesnt support but wouldnt change even if they did start supporting it (2/2)

Bit late but I would second this. I tried doing this kind of modelling in blender, and while its good for a lot of people, it never clicked for me. Plasticity still has a bit of growing to do, but its really good already and Ive loved using it. (1/2)

For science specifically, if you have institutional access there's also things like Web Of Science, I'm sure there are humanities equivalents but aren't sure on the names.
I think the open source ones facilitate people using AI but don't have it as a "feature" WoS I think does push it more heavily 🙃
