Yeah, it'd be nice if the system didn't seem quite so totally dependent on their servers.
Bluesky UI box showing a post being written responding to moby dickgirl's post (her post reads "Not a huge fan of how it does kind of seem like Bluesky's stack is still the centre of the network"). Response reads: "Could be better." A picture is attached to that post, depicting another reply box to the same initial post, this reply reading "My "I don't want this shirt to be the load-bearing core of the shirt network" shirt that I've created in a way that makes it absurdly difficult to make and maintain another shirt like it is answering a lot of questions raised by my shirt." That post draft has, above it, a banner visible over the post with an error message displayed, reading "Unable to connect. Please check your internet connection and try again." This was, of course, taken when Bluesky's aforementioned stack (or shirt, whatever metaphor you care to use) was out to lunch or whatever. That banner is visible above the post in the "could be better" reply as well, because I thought it was safe since the site had started back up again and appeared to have been up for a few minutes. It's been probably over an hour since I made this joke (is it when I think of the joke or when I successfully post the joke that the joke has been made?) (Incidentally, websites need to, if it's possible, ping a different fucking server? Like, check if the browser can talk to anyone else before telling the user that it's their fault. Especially when it's a website like this that doesn't exactly have nothing but continuous uptime, you know what I mean? Not even trying to diss on Bluesky with that last comment, this is a problem a lot of websites have and it's like. Hey. Maybe it's not the user's fault! Don't tell them it is if it's really easy to tell that it isn't!)

For those who don't know what Scuttling Death looks like, here is a card image (apologies if the alt-text is too long, I made this image for a small joke and then got *completely* carried away with the alt-text describing the genuinely stunning and grotesque Thomas M. Baxa artwork)
It's the card Scuttling Death, with a minor edit to the flavor text. The artwork by Thomas M. Baxa depicts a bizarre creature with a long tail, as though the back of a very large and long rat had been grafted onto this creature, a back portion that looks unnaturally small, complete with two visible legs that look loosely like a thumb and a single finger, a pair of wings that look vaguely as though made out of a coconut, and a loooooong neck going up to the front section, which includes a number of small leg-like appendages that it could conceivably use to scuttle along the ground (hence, I presume, the name), two arms that are shaped somewhat like they came from scorpions, some sort of almost armor plating sticking out of the creature's thin-ass neck that gradually changes from brown armor to the albino-white flesh of a face - a face shaped loosely like an ear with no lobes with two long strange antenna, two dried-out yellow eyes, a nose shaped like a full mouse with goat horns instead of back legs, and the mouth. It looks like they gave an asshole teeth, except there's no teeth, it's just the skin is all so goddamn dry. This thing looks like it's never so much as seen a drop of water before. A vagina that has only encountered Ben Shapiro, if you know what I mean. Truly, this is a worst vagina. The background of the art is loosely plains-like, although I must stress it's a pretty dry plains. Moving to the "Magic card" part of the card, this 4/2 Spirit Creature costs 4B, and it has the abilities "Sacrifice Scuttling Death: Target creature gets -1/-1 until end of turn." and "Soulshift 4 (When this creature dies, you may return target Spirit card with converted mana cost 4 or less from your graveyard to your hand.)". Flavor text that was not on the original card has been added, which is the quote "More like an ohnohole." and is attributed to Amabel Holland.

Trade offer meme. The face of the suited man has been replaced with Kara's profile picture (I believe it's of Claire from a Game Boy Color game, looks like it goes with an RPG dialogue box, that doesn't exist - _yet_), as though she is making you the best goddamn offer in the world (because she is). Text on the meme reads: "I receive: cash for my latest and greatest books and music about queer Portland magical girls." and "You receive: more great books and music about queer Portland magical girls to acquire with cash, which will be turned into more flaming great books and music about queer Portland magical girls you can acquire with [the text runs off the image here because the cycle doesn't end.]"

Wait, just saw your thing about signing it, here's a signed one.
MS Paint art of Sensei's Divining Top spinning made in MS paint. In the lower left corner is a mouse-made signature. The two "i"'s in "Serendipigans" have red hearts for dots. As the top spins, three images of magic cards appear in the air above it, because that's the card's effect and it looks neat. The cards have artwork of a trans flag, a dragon burning someone, and an ace flag. The dragon arted card has semi-readable text that says "Fire's Bad!", and appears to cost three red mana. The art overall is sloppy. I actually nearly put the word "artwork" in quotations when I first said it until I remembered this is a replacement of AI art, and this is at least a Rembrandt in comparison.
