This is not hard. Artists are not responsible for ensuring the Kennedy Center remains relevant and successful. The center’s board is responsible for that, in a fiduciary way. All of this energy being directed at artists should be re-directed at the board.

Silicon Valley does not “want to build stuff.” Silicon Valley is supremely lazy, its innovations as of late are just disruption aka breaking the law and getting away with it because of corruption, plagiarism robots that tell kids to kill themselves, and outsourcing manufacturing.
There is a lot to hate about the politics of the silicon valley right, but they do actually want to build stuff, and I would prefer if the left didn't cede "we should be able to build stuff" to the right.
