It's my favorite "weed." It feeds the pollinators early in the season when nothing else is blooming, and disappears (like magic) as soon as it's warm enough to start getting the yard in shape.

People who talk or scroll on their phones (at full brightness) at concerts. Concerts are expensive these days--if you want to talk with your friends, go see music at a bar. If you you want to scroll on your phone, save yourself the price of a ticket and stay home.

It is easier to feel optimism when there are flowers. (Have to try mixing marigolds and purple verbena at my house--great combo!)

This one I would definitely say is an Oregon junco because the white on the outside of the tail feathers is pictured.

One of the things that impresses me about your work is that no matter which part of the country you are painting, it rings true. This evokes sun filtering through cholla perfectly.

Gen Xer here. When we bought our first house (in Phoenix) in 1993, the cost was equivalent to about 10,000 hours of federal minimum wage. The same house, 33 years later and with no major improvements, has a tax value equivalent to 47,000 hours of federal minimum wage.
