Hi, neurodivergent queer artist, 21+, finally made one of these after being off Twitter for over a year. Figured I should probably be aware of what’s happening in the world.

Casual reminder: this guy has been getting public funded healthcare, elder care, and the ability to work from home the past few months; all things he’s worked hard to deny you.

I made this diagram for a friend recently and thought I'd share. Video explaining the program in the comments!

i have been mean about the verge recently so I would like to specifically point out that this is a good post
As a new Harry Potter trailer makes the rounds, it bears repeating that there’s no way to watch this show without supporting J.K. Rowling’s bigotry and the structural violence she’s inflicting on the trans community.
There is no ethical consumption of HBO’s Harry Potter series
You can’t without supporting Rowling’s transphobic bigotry.

Mamdani has announced that NYC restaurants can have outdoor dining all year round.

This is actually a big public health win because fall and winter is when respiratory virus cases surge. Dining outdoors helps reduce the risk of disease spread.
Rain or shine, sun or snow, you can now break bread outdoors year-round.

Thanks to @cmrestler.bsky.social’s work, our favorite restaurants will no longer have to tear down and rebuild their setups each year.

It’s official: Outdoor dining is here to stay.

NEW: Flock has said for years that its cameras "cannot track individuals." We found the code for its new AI tool. It's preloaded w/ prompts like "Find me witness" & "find relatives."

One tracks visitors of multiple hotels, another if you visit banks after midnight.

Reminder once again that the bacon recall is not because there is anything wrong with the bacon. No one has gotten sick.

It's because the US government is in a pissing match with Canada. The bacon was inspected in Canada, and I'd trust their standards over ours right now.
Um. The reason for the recall is that this is from Canada, inspected in Canada, and the US didn't do a re-inspection.

The bacon is likely fine. There's no connection to any kind of illness, unless you consider bureaucratic dick measuring an illness.
