4/5 We have now had Moose for one full week! But, wait, there's more!
As I mentioned earlier, our friends adopted his sister. And we see them every week!
Which means that Moose gets to see his sister regularly too. Excuse the terrible photos, but they were very happy to see each other again.

3/5 We decided that a baby would be less scary to the cats than a full grown doggo. Even though I swore I'd never get another puppy! Puppies are way too much work. And he is. So. Much. Work. #PuppiesAreNotPresents
He's a sweetie pie, and I adore him, but he's still a lot of work.
Puppy on the floor and under the couch. Why is he half under the couch? I don't know. I decided not to question it. There's plenty of room under there. Puppy stretched out on the couch with his legs stretched out behind him. Meeting the cats wasn't joyful per se, but not terrible. We're working on making friends. Here is Moose laying on the couch within reach of Rosie.

2/5 We spent the next day and half discussing whether or not we're ready for a pup. Our sweet Daisy passed back in February and we've been grieving.
We were also worried about introducing a new dog to our cats.
It's famously not easy to do so.
You can see how we decided, but allow me to keep going.

1/5 We got a puppy! There's a story:
3 weeks ago our friends adopted a puppy from AAWL. They named her Bella and she's the sweetest thing. One week ago yesterday we were at their house and my friend, unhelpfully, goes "they still have her brother!".

Cover of A Wish in the Dark by Christina Soontornvat. A beautiful book about social justice, growing up, and figuring out that some things aren't right just because they are law. Cover of An Accident of Stars by Foz Meadows. Beautiful story about righting wrongs. The characters and relationships are incredibly complex and I love them all. I don't know how to properly review a book, but I'm on my second read of this one. A kids book, I suppose, but I love this story. A little slave girl and a dragon finally find freedom and go on a long journey. She has much to learn about the world and her place in it, and much to unlearn.

We went camping last week, and we saw so many bees! Bees on flowers, bees on hands! I adore bees. This one even did me a favor and sat still for my camera. They don't often do that.

A cute and fuzzy little bee is sitting on a purple/pink thistle flower. It's my hand! And there is a bee crawling on it. They are very curious little creatures. I had a few land on me over the course of the week and none stung me.

Who goes there?! I don't know, but we definitely had a great time keeping an eye for animal tracks while walking in the woods a few months ago. Our guess was a raccoon, but if you can tell me for sure I'd appreciate it.

A couple of months ago we took a weekend trip up to Pinetop for our daughter's birthday and it was BEAUTIFUL! We went walking in the woods every day and it was amazing. Living in Phoenix we don't really ever see snow, so that was a bonus.

I'm still feeling off after our daughter broke her arm yesterday, so I've been keeping busy working with my hands. Did some laundry, shuffled a few things about. Then I made some "bag charms" (which is what we're calling keychains these days?) using various resin charms I made.
