"Professional organizations such as the Canadian Association of Radiologists, among others, strongly oppose whole-body MRI screening in symptom-free people."

Am I rich enough to pay for my own full-body MRI scan for peace of mind?
MRI scans are marketed by private clinics as a tool to detect diseases lurking inside asymptomatic bodies and cost upwards of around $3,000.

The death of expertise @radiofreetom.bsky.social warned us about is proceeding apace! 🥵
‼️ Worldwide, when faced with conflicting health advice (eg, influencer vs MD) only 51% always go with MD.

In Canada it is 45%, US 37%.

I don't think individuals should blindly follow MD advice, but this data still highlights power of influencers (et al) on health perceptions and behaviours.
