I was hoping for your help with something. (Please RT for reach.)

Is there a particular font that’s instantly recognizable to someone who lives where you do, and appreciated/recognized/hated there, but completely unknown elsewhere? Road signs, street names, transit, infrastructure, stuff like that?

Anyway, a good tool I found out about is MubLoop. It's free and helps create seamless looping sounds. I tried it, works really well and is now part of my toolset for upcoming audio assets!

Check it out:

🧵1/2 This day marks 2 years since #Everhaven was cancelled by Forte/Forte Labs weeks before announcement and its 2024 Early Access. The reason? Bc Phoenix Labs didn't want blkchain tech in it, so Forte chose to cancel it. #BringBackProjectDragon #ProjectDragon #cancelledgames

Subtle things to make your shaders better:

1) Anti-aliasing - Real life is not limited to pixels so unless you're specifically going for a pixelated style, you should be anti-aliasing everything!

Once you start making art not trying to be perfect and not be afraid of what others will think of it (mistakes is what makes you better), and really do what you love and how you feel like doing it, you'll be much more relaxed and thus do better and more authentic work and less likely to burn out.

A friend of mine who runs these things always repeats something to me along the lines of "Playtests and Research isn't for telling you the right thing to do, it's to confirm to you that your assumptions are correct and that your intentions are getting through to the players" and that's stuck with me
Unpopular opinion, but a lot of this "doing it right" mentality is how we wind up with games all feeling the exact same.

Difficulty spikes, weird controls, ropey onboarding all of it critical to prevent games feeling like they're ground down and pumped out safe mush.

Just a reminder to check for your name in this list of books that OpenAI trained from. If your name is there, they probably owe you several thousand dollars.

OpenAI cried that if everyone eligible author files, the company will go bankrupt, so I'm alerting every author I have ever spoken to.

100% true. My life got infinitely better as an artist once people started leaving more comments. It's SO encouraging, you all LITERALLY kept me going.

Like > Share > Comment. Even if it's just a heart emoji, a heart eye emoji, or one word replies.

It. Means. So. Friggin. Much!
replies felt weirdly discouraged on twitter (at least to me) but I really recommend getting back into the habit of telling artists directly when you like their stuff. not even in an engagement farming way, it just feels nice. nobody's day is going to be worse hearing that you like their work
