Yes, for me, there's a big explanatory gap between satellites+lasers & voting apparatus (it's actually the vote tabulating machines where audits show statistical anomalies originated). I agree Musk had motives to rig the vote, but he also has motives to tell huge ego-inflating lies.

Legend in his own mind, but his ideas are dangerous -- & he's shown he can actualize many of them by spending enough money. All the "conspiracies" nowadays are right out in the open.

I agree the guy & his enterprises need some serious looking into, not just bc of his involvement w the 2024 election. Assuming we ever have an independent, functional FTC, FEC, FCC, DOJ, EPA, etc, after Trump's gone. (& the foundational problem is, of course: billionaires...there shouldn't be any!)

That's the problem with nailing Musk. He's the classic unreliable narrator. Talks & tweets a lot of self-aggrandizing nonsense, abuses ketamine on top of pre-existing delusions of grandeur...but he is a fucking trillionaire with a lot of smart nerds under his command. So who knows?

In the 1950s, at events like a World's Fair they'd feature a model home stocked entirely with appliances, decor, & products of every kind, including a fridge full of food, all made in USA. Trump should do that today for magats to celebrate the New World Order. Empty house, empty fridge. Glorious!

Part of the Eric Adams corruption machine. Bad Dem politicians that need to be pushed out so new blood can enter the party.

I see Grape Nuts getting much hate here. Hey, I avoided as a kid, but came to love GN as an adult & it's still my favorite (as I get old enough to worry it's too hard on my teeth). What I hated as a kid & still avoid: Corn flakes, especially off brands. Soggy the instant you add milk. Yuck!!

I think there's a good argument to be made for "lapsed faith" as the most socially beneficial form of religion in any context. Exposure to all the guilt, shame, morals & ritual when you're a little kid, then a natural shedding of the underlying belief structure as you mature & acquire knowledge.

Let the private donors who gave money to build the ballroom pay for demolition & a rebuilt East Wing. If the underground bunker isn't a total disaster due to shoddy construction, it could be repurposed without any above-ground structure.

At this point everyone knows crypto is a scam. Nobody in crypto is innocent. All players in crypto are looking to scam someone else.

If you're in crypto and you get wallet drained or rug-pulled, you had it coming. Seriously.

He's protecting himself from being disbarred or worse. I don't think ethics figures in his world view.

He's an inspiration to all the old folks with dementia in nursing homes around the country. You too could be president of the USA!

Because Republicans would clip 3 or 4 statements out of context to weaponize. The reality is Dems can't talk in detail about this subject in the present political climate. Take the support they offer in whatever form best serves their campaigns as a small step forward. Winning is what matters now.

The shock jock mode of politics has not only become the dominant form within the GOP, it's also one of the most reliable ladders of success available to the conspicuously untalented. A moron's grift so widespread it has swallowed American political discourse whole.

That's my point. In the incel worldview they're the nice guys who continually lose out to dickwads with sixpacks & broad shoulders. Point being, physical strength, aggressiveness & ability to acquire resources (eg money) seem to trump most attributes of morality in the human reproduction game.

The big question. Yet "cut taxes" always works on low-info voters. I blame Dems in part for being afraid to talk about taxes & explain who pays, what they're used for & what gets cut if there's no revenue. Republicans own the issue entirely w/ "cut taxes" while Dems refuse to say the t-word

Not to bring in the Incel discourse here, but being a dickwad male doesn't seem to reduce procreation opportunity. So I doubt "dickwad radar" is responsible for evolution of morality. I know so many nice/attractive women married to dickwads. In fact, my mom was one of them!

There's a perfect pair. Scott is a dumb-ass clown, maybe just slightly smarter than the countertop. Embarrassed to admit I live in SC, where Scott is like a black mascot for this state's horrible Republican mafia.

I'd say one thing AI will certainly learn from digesting human culture is that poor people can be sacrificed.
