Look. All I'm saying is that if Wimpy had gotten Michael Douglas to dress up as fictional Wall Street villain, Gordon Gekko and do an advert paraphrasing his popular catchphrase as "LUNCH IS FOR WIMPYS", they might still be a common fixture on British High Streets today.

I’ve spent several hours tonight watching Jeremy Brett’s Sherlock Holmes on ITVX. I think it is close to the pinnacle of British TV. Camp without being arch. For a mass audience. No concessions to lack of concentration. Wonderfully shot, directed and acted. Made by Granada. Excellence is possible.

Already today I've seen this, and on LinkedIn, one pensioner was complaining it was no help to him because he already has a free bus pass, and another was complaining he doesn't get a free bus pass despite having "paid in all his working life" - he lives in Spain.
