1. This New York Post cover: “Thousands of 9/11 families demand Mamdani be banned from 25th-Anniversary” is a brazen lie.

How do I know?

I interviewed the organizer of the petition.

What a massive victory for democracy. Democrats are beating the GOP at their own game, doing so by asking the voters rather than by fiat, all in pursuit of a nationwide gerrymandering ban.

The fight isn’t over, but this is a good night.

In three months, Zohran Mamdani has:

-Delivered millions in restitution for workers cheated by fast food and delivery companies
-Cracked down on bad landlords
-Launched the first stage of a universal childcare program
-Fixed thousands of potholes in NYC streets

This is what leadership looks like.

Happy birthday to the Washington Metro, which opened 50 years ago today with service on 4.6 mi of Red Line between Rhode Is. Ave & Farragut N. System now serves 130 mi.

The DC Metro shows that, with good planning & enough investment, the public sector can succeed & build something extraordinary.

DC government seemingly is allowing federal government to eliminate an extremely well-used bike lane along a street that's not even heavily trafficked by cars (I know it well! I use it almost daily!). 15th St corridor is DC's most important north-south bike route. This move would be amputating it.
The 15th Street Protected Bike Lane south of Constitution Ave is slated to be removed on Monday, per 2 sources

Reportedly DDOT did not raise strong objections to it and has further not objected to using the Hains Point bike lanes for car traffic during the cherry blossoms

I commuted on the 15th St bike lane every day for 2 years. It is always packed with bikes, provided the sole safe bikeway between Ward 1 and downtown, and rarely caused any serious congestion on 15th St.

This move is simply foolish and flagrantly anti-bike.

I worked on this project as ANC Commissioner. We told planners how critical safe bikeways would be.

@ddotdc.bsky.social has a tough job here with the tight ROW, and bus lanes should remain the priority. But unless other new east-west bikeways are built soon, this would be a HUGE missed opportunity.
Congestion can be reduced in Columbia Heights. Here’s how
Because DDOT’s Columbia Heights Crosstown Bus Priority Project operates under the Bus Priority Plan, it excludes parking management and bikeway design. This is a profound, if predictable, disappointme...

Congress must return immediately and vote to put an end to this war.

Every Senator should be on the record—the American people deserve to know which of their leaders supports another potentially bloody and costly war in the Middle East.

No war with Iran.

I will give Suozzi more credit than he gives himself. He knew what the vote was. He just figured the way to "win" was to support the funding because that's more "centrist" and buck the Democratic majority. But morally, he knew what this was about. He ended up wrong morally AND politically.

Literally all of this is a lie. We are about to find out who is state media, because they will be the ones to parrot a justification for state-sanctioned murder.
Noem lies shamelessly: "An individual approached order Patrol officers with a 9mm semi-automatic gun. The officers attempted to disarm this individual, but the armed suspect reacted violently. This looks like a situation where an individual arrived to inflict maximum damage and kill law enforcement"
