I've magically stumbled into the world of the Professional Club DJ and kinda like it. Long suffering Minnesota Vikings fan (since '88). Former comic book reviewer, now in exile within a prison of his own longboxes.

Going to start a thread of songs that don't feature on any (many?) streaming services and really should considering the age we're living in.

The media treating this story as some hilarious 'village that roared' nighy-dench-mirren movie is pissing me right the fuck off. It's soft-selling fascism. We have become an inward looking, xenophobic joke.
Solidarity with this Piddington resident ♥️✊

The whole fucking point in oversight is that the 'Doctor' in this scenario is unaware of what he's truly and ultimately building and an arranged regular meeting with a pitchfork-wielding villager points out 'the monster in the room'

Piddington getting a "we're listening and you have valid concerns" from Nandy is yet another reminder Labour are a far right party.

Grannies and vicars holding anti-genocide signs? Terrorism.

A village doing far right sedition? Support and indulgence.

Would be quite amusing for Piddington to wake up tomorrow and find themselves cut off from 'the outside world' by a 50m moat dug over night and passport controls in effect

Well we'll see how much cabinet ministers and the news media listen to 'roaring' villagers when it's AI Data Centers and Solar projects they're going all-Lion about in NIMBY style www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

The focus on the political elements in the first two episodes of Clarkson's Farm SE5 actually put me off going back to watch the last 6 episodes until this week. Have finished it now and despite its flaws, it remains terrifically well made television and the emotional parts can't help but ring true.

Glad someone did the maths! Just because movies are making billions of dollars it doesn't mean as many people are going to see them. Less tickets are just being sold at higher price points. What would happen if we went back to more people buying cheaper tickets? What family of 5 can afford Imax? 🤔🎬
Spider-Man: Brand New Day Has Nearly Made as Much as The Force Awakens Despite Selling 35 Million Fewer Tickets, Showing How Inflation Has Reshaped Cinema
None of this is meant to take away from Spider-Man: Brand New Day, a movie I adore. This is a monumental achievement in the post-COVID streaming era we live

PATEL: The previous regulation automatically disqualified any individual who participated in either side of it

KENNEDY: Either side of beastiality? So you disqualified the animal?

P: Well, we have great canines, but we're not going to disqualify them

K: I'm trying to understand why you did this.

Not that I’m any sort of trendsetter, but I’ve been boycotting Ed Sheeran’s music for well over a decade anyway.

Unsurprisingly easy.

The thing the media, politicians and company CEOs are clearly not saying about AI is that they're super worried about waking up to find that AI agents have gone nuts, hacked stockholder accounts and liquidated a huge company's stock in one hit and the ripple effects from that.
