I want to - weave, knit, grow vegetables, read, paint. I got rid of a tory government! Now #FairVotes and #RejoinEU. Looking forward to starting my retirement again one day, but not just yet... Now unretired and working for an MP. Wasn't expecting that!

Also require a positive message. Otherwise the Republicans get to dictate your campaign.
They need to hammer down relentlessly on this. They can't become overconfident, like they did with Hillary in 2016.

Andy Burnham says he wants to redistribute power to every corner of the country. That's a noble goal.

But it cannot be achieved without ensuring that all votes count equally, regardless of your postcode.

To empower left behind communities, we need Proportional Representation.

I've been rummaging through Keir Starmer's last acts in office, including many that got totally buried

This (rather big list) is from his last week in power:

A new government is setting its direction. I and many others have just signed the European Movement’s petition asking Andy Burnham to drop the red lines on the EU and set out a plan for Britain’s European future.

In the last month Nigel Farage has spent around eight times longer promoting gold bars for money (4 hours) than he has spent doing his supposed main job of being an MP voting in the House of Commons (just two votes, taking approximately 30 minutes)

This is my Libdem MP
She has no 2nd, 3rd job.
She holds surgeries
She writes a column for the local paper
She answers my emails - why she has got involved in hospices

She WORKS for us and with us.
As we lurch towards a GE - might be a tactical choice.
They seem good locally. Not backstabbers!

The billboards call out Reform leader Nigel Farage’s £5 million "reward for campaigning for Brexit, whilst people across the country feel the pinch."

Read that back.

Our problem is ever-expanding wealth inequality.

Now, the Trump administration is preparing to spend $1 billion to combat the screwworm outbreak.

Never forget how destructive and downright stupid DOGE was.

Why is The World At One reading out Rupert Lowe's posts on the Northern Ireland attack, at the start of the bulletin?

He leads a party that is polling at about 3%.

This is not about "censorship": it's about the choices media outlets make concerning which voices to amplify.

Three years ago tomorrow, I very nervously gave this speech. I knew my career as a TV journalist was dunzo, cooked, filleted, kaput the morning I wrote it. (Thanks to Kat insisting I go for it anyway.)

The end is awfully prescient at this exact second, though. Big ups to Scott Pelley for fighting.
