Spider-Man's back to kick ass and take box office records! Is this movie as good as it's massive box office would imply, or is this another bloated blockbuster that audiences will immediately forget as soon as they leave the theater?
It's what cooked the series. Genuinely interesting ideas, that showed a deep understanding of the lore, were explored in season 1, but a contingent of the fan base lost their shit. Season 2 never found its voice as it was terrified to piss off fans, and now we don't get to see Halo in a Halo show.
At this point I think Halo is cooked and it's cooked because of content creators because those guys will never be happy with a Halo game unless it perfectly replicates the exact same feelings they had when they were 14 which is impossible because they're all pushing 40
I maintain that the biggest problem with the 343 era is that they set up a genuinely interesting story in Halo 4, freaked out because of fan backlash, and have been stepping on rakes ever since because they're too scared to ever let their writers cook where anyone can see it
