Yes, because there was substantial reporting from multiple credible outlets that he was. All of the post-Friday reporting has confirmed that if the Americans hadn't made their last-minute demands we were prepared to eat a deal that conceded new tariffs. We are lucky the US sucks at this.

This is incredibly disturbing. The number of cases in Mississippi alone of Black people who met their deaths in dubious/highly suspicious ways, only for authorities to shrug it off and do a piss poor job if investigating...there are so many names

I don't think this is optimism. After all, it's MLB that would be locking out its employees, not vice-versa. I believe this is a bargaining tactic. Here's why:
