I worked for New York’s largest medical center at the start of the pandemic. There were morgue trucks on the streets. They set up emergency medical tents in Central Park. Healthcare worker colleagues died. It is horrific that RFK Jr is on national TV lying that ICUs were empty.

More than £1.5bn is made in profit by UK Care Homes for the elderly.

Almost all of the it is extracted via Rent payments and Debt Interest repayments to offshore companies that don't pay any tax in the UK.

Andy Burnham's plan will see these 'costs' skyrocket.

Interesting to see people crawling out of the woodwork to praise Burnham for his policy on business rates for pubs and live music venues who were silent on all the measures already brought in by Rachel Reeves...

And remember, much of the controversy is due to the ending of COVID era relief...

Andy Burnham pledged yesterday to end rough sleeping.

But that isn't the only form of homelessness we face as a country, so sad he focused only on a subset.

Good thing the Starmer government left Burnham with a National Plan to End Homelessness (not just rough sleeping)...

Fuck this shit!

Darren Jones is actively sacked from government by Burnham.

Jo Stevens is sacked too, as Welsh Secretary.
Well shit...

Rachel Reeves
David Lammy
Peter Kyle
Steve Reed

...all gone from cabinet (and probably government entirely).

Likely more very good names going too. Cannot imagine only these 4 will go.

Not to mention James Timpson from earlier and now Patrick Valance too.

The thing is if you use devious means to win a seat and then use devious means to unseat an elected PM you’re forever viewed as devious. Politically and personally.

How can anyone restore trust after that? Simple answer. They can’t.

We need an alternative to Burnham

Denmark has a new king, the King and Queen get approximately $500,000 from the Danish Government a year, and the whole family is worth $40m.

In the UK King Charles gets $180,000,000 a year and his family is worth $25bn.

We need to be more like Denmark.

The only thing Keir Starmer did wrong was put his trust into a dismal group of Labour MPs.

The weakness we all have is believing people think like you do. They don’t.

My contempt for the likes of Powell, Haigh, Turner, McDonnell et al knows no limits. Special place for Rayner in there

Thank you Sir Keir Starmer for being the best PM the UK has had since I was born.

Fuck you to all the back stabbers and traitors (both in and outside the Labour Party) who have worked to undermine you since you became leader. Fuck them all.

⚠️ WARNING:
ICE abducted a pet owner, leaving two dogs to starve for a week. Only the landlord saved them. This isn't a mistake; it’s a sickening pattern. When agencies treat people as disposable, innocent lives become collateral. This cruelty must end.
