Happily surprised by the Oguri Cap anime. I'd tried once before to get into Umamusume, but the humor landed flat back then. Not here. The series takes itself seriously, with solid character arcs and sports rivalries. Had an amazing time watching our underdog glutton achieve greatness.

Burn after reading
This is a trainwreck of epic proportions. Chaos incarnate, pandemonium that takes itself seriously enough it only adds to the comedic element. It's the kind of absurdism humor I enjoy, with very few cringy moments. Also enjoyed Brad Pitt playing an ADHD 18yo. Rare role for him.

Adolescence
Extremely impressive hour-long single-take camera work. It's not just about a 13yo incel boy killing his classmate, it's about the weight of responsibility the entire community has for making him who he is. Chilling character study. Got me questioning about my own parental relationships.

Klaus (2019)
It's my favorite Christmas movie by a long shot. Every character in the entire town go from pitiful wrecks to happy self-fulfillment. How can two toxic poisons mix and create something beautiful? Watched it every year wince it's release without fail and will watch again, 5/5.

A little sometime of mine. A love letter to MTG, written a while back at a time where the hobby felt welcoming and rich. Felt relevant to dig it up to distract from Universes Beyond and to reminisce of simpler times.

Been following this anime religiously every week. Wholesome yuri where people actually communicate, characters progress meaningfully in and out of the relationships, and with compersion all around and no jealousy in sight? A true gem.
