Last night's game was fun but we won and couldn't celebrate the way we wanted to because our friends played for the other team. It was a great win because I didn't think we could pull it off! But we had to focus on hockey and TNF at dinner after 🫣

14 didn't play yesterday because the Trainer kept him out. (Thank you Trainer!) He had FOMO post game because it was very competitive even if they lost. He regrets playing last week and I didn't even say I told you so. Go me.

14 has had a hurt back for a couple of weeks now. If he would just stay off of it he could heal but he insisted on trying to play the last 2 games. And then he's out mending it for the next week. I asked him to sit out this week's game so I can see him play next week. He's so stubborn!

Dinner tonight with someone who always has to pick apart the check. The rest of us just sit there like we’ll split it. Meanwhile she’s over here busting out the calculator. I hate that. I never go anywhere so when we decide to do something it’s costs what it costs and I don’t worry about it.

I'm on a call with my manager and another manager about an account in which the sales rep just quit. The other manager is lowkey talking shit and thankfully cameras were off because I was grinning ear to ear. I'm going to miss working with that sales rep. Way to give it to them bouncing before EOQ

It took me hours to recover from my weekly PIP call. Not because it was negative. I think their strategy is to overwhelm me with so many minute tasks that I break. I'm a latchkey kid from the 80's who did all my homework and chores before my mom got home. I ain't new to this I'm true to this.

Last week he scored 1 touchdown, made a mistake and lost 1, and then someone intercepted on him. Only 1 other touchdown was made so it wasn't his "fault" but it didn't help either.

We've reached the phase where Mom's cooking is the birthday dinner. Restaurants are 90% trash so I didn't mind dying over a hot stove after a long day of work. 17 requested tacos, rice, and beans from scratch. Chef's kiss if I do say so myself.

Going through photos for 17's bday made me realize I will never stop being angry at what Covid/middle school stole from him. He was literally the happiest kid around, but being bullied and isolated during those years changed him forever.

Yesterday, 14 had school, a game, then a mixer. This morning another practice. HS is about having fun while developing yourself and excelling in academics. I'm very pleased with his progress so far. He's incredibly social while keeping up with his classes and improving his game.

I went through the Freshman What's App page last night. I'm a no notifications girlie so I had to go all the way back to June. By early August the mean girls were lecturing the people who ask questions without researching the answers first. Yikes.
