I’ll always be a fan and with no hyperbole the Yankees have given me some of my best memories, but man this team is just no fun to root for these days.
ESPN hasn’t really been “sports media” in a really long time though, its just games and hot take performance. There’s not really a place in that for people who know what they’re talking about.
It sucks that ESPN is choosing to pay a small handful of personalities $50 million a year and cutting costs elsewhere. I’m sure they have data saying those guys move the needle but it feels like a long-term disaster to invest everything in 3-5 guys when you could fund a robust media ecosystem
