I'm not sure if it qualifies as a master-class, but in the second episode of my adventure to modernize a classic VM-based workload I get to magical 36% of cloud-nativeness,

Finally a good argument. We don't do math or art to have more theorems and pictures. But to better ourselves as a species. It's the process that matters, not the result. It's the good old "my kid could do that".

Can we please kill PDF? It's a terrible format designed to generate reproducible results when printed on a predefined paper format (using paper is a bad thing!) and it's terrible when used in screens (because it doesn't adapt to different dimensions).

The area is relatively young, so here's my proposal for the
definition of #cloudnative
A #cloud #native solution
- runs only parts that are needed at the moment (on demand)
- runs them only for as long as they are needed (just in time)
- runs in the most cost-efficient way (cost centric)

Thoughts?

I do believe we're entering an interesting phase in #software and #architecture where thanks to genai one can use a purpose -built replica instead of the original (think custom but conformant

With the price increases caused by the #AI hype, it will become increasingly critical to be cost effective in the #cloud (both public and private). And the best way for that is tailored cloud-native architecture (sorry k8s, you are seldom it). It's somehow similar to how the main outcome of the

I'm not yet sure about the shape of this, but the general direction is musings about software architecture, especially the cloud one.

One thing for sure - I'm often wrong and that's fine as long as there's an improvement over time.
