So what they all had in common was: public open space, no potentially dangerous or uncomfortable situation for me, no strange pickup lines. They all felt “safe”, smiled, were respectful and friendly when I turned it down and then kept a distance instead of trying anymore. That’s how you can do it 🙃

3. On my way to a date. Also around a station, guy says hello excuse me, tells me he wanted to meet a friend but I distracted him, starts to introduce himself. He seemed nice but well I was on the way to a date so no time for that lol.

2. On my way to get groceries in the evening, randomly on the street. Guy asks me if I know a place around here to go for drinks. I said I don’t know (because I really didn’t, although we were literally standing right in front of a café/bar). He tried to talk more to me but I wasn’t interested.

1. At the metro station (important: the station! On a train it can be really threatening cause you can’t escape, so don’t). A guy asked me why I was smiling, complimented my earrings, we chatted for like 5 minutes before he asked me to go for a coffee. Should’ve said yes but I was kinda too tipsy 🥴
