Adding not only humans, but also #fantasy races to my small victorian town.

Any Greek, Roman or Egyptian creatures that would fit my town?

Hi, I am starting yet another project.

Anyone has any experience in writing cosy smalltown romantasy?

Any tips are welcome. What are your favorite or most disliked tropes?

Any craftbooks or obscure stories you recommend?

Currently putting the final touches on my elemental #magicsystem.
Or rather the surface magic system that the people in-world see after the original magic was corrupted.
Any feedback, or questions are highly apprciated, before I put t final version on my site.

Story 5/5 - Narration 3/5

"One trilogy to rule them all, one trilogy to find us nerds, One trilogy to bring them all, and in the darkness bind them; In the mind of Tolkien where fantasy blooms."

I hope #audible will have a better version one day.

The Left Hand Of Darkness
4/5 ⭐️ #booksky

Great for fans of #bravenewworld

Ursela K Le Guin is truely the best contemporary non-epic #scifi #writer! But the middle of this one was a bit to slow for my taste.

What do you think of her work?

I never used tiktok, but with all those #booktok refugees, #booksky is getting larger and larger.

Looking for peers who #read or #write :

- #fantasy
*** mostly #highfantasy and #urbanfantasy

- #scifi
*** mostly old-school clasics

- #scifantasy
*** think treasureplant vibe

Only thing that worked for me was dedicated writing time.

I schedule two appointments weekly with myself at work. I clock out, write for an hour and clock back in.

Because it happens when I am already in a productive mindset I don't waste time waking up my brain.

What do y'all do?
#amwriting.

Love mostly that this kind of fantasy is getting more and more popular!

I ve not been able to write for more than a month. And next month seems not to look that easy also.

BUT that is okay.

Don't beat yourself up if you don't reach your writing goals. Mental health and family life is more important. Love yourself!

I also need to read more recent books.
Does anyone have recent #book recommendations from 2024?
Preferably #fantasy or #scifi from European #writers . Written or translated in English.

28/11 GRATITUDE

“That’s no way to talk to a friend who is about to return your lost property.” Aeron juggled Seamus’s wallet from hand to hand. “Found this on your not-so-drunk friend.” He tossed it to Seamus. “Thank me later.”
