Someone beat me there, but it’ll be alright. I’m sure they’ll order more copies very soon and we’ll be tied then. 📚 💙

#HollywoodCommaEnding
A screenshot from Libby with copies of John Green’s new book, “Hollywood, Ending” on hold. I am second of two people on hold for both the audiobook and the digital copy.

A little over a week left in #Readzamas so here’s my update:

Very close to a bingo (if only by virtue of doubling up on books that count for multiple spots).
A readzamas summer reading bingo card tracker that isn’t very impressive, but is close to bingo in a few spots.

God I love this game.
A screenshot from the smush game’s statistics page that reads: “15 players asked for ‘Moviefart’. John said no.” A screenshot from smush that reads “Fatmeatfever isn’t in today’s pile”.

A lot of my tipsy movieposting seems to end up in the drafts (probably for the best?) but here’s some drafts for those interested.

* These aren’t all from three days ago btw. Apparently I went through a bunch of them that night and saved them? idk.
A screenshot of Bluesky drafts. The first is cut off, but reads “endings challenge! Statement.” It is followed by a draft from 3 days ago, that says: “Post about Good Luck Have Fun Don't Die but without being all weird about it??” Next is a draft from 3 days ago, that simply says: “Peeñata”. That is followed by a draft from 3 days ago, that says: “And Kermit never locked that down? Yeah okayyyyy”. This is followed by a draft from 3 days ago, that says: “Schroedinger's Horse: a piñata shaped like the Trojan horse and you don't know until after it's opened whether there's candy or bees up in there?” Next is a draft from 3 days ago, that says: “Trojan horse piñata?” That is followed by a draft from 3 days ago, that says: “Still don't know how they fit all the horses into that giant statue?” The next draft is from 3 days ago, and it says: “Piñata filled with bees?” Last is a draft from 3 months ago, that says: “how fortunate we are to be weird as hell and …” (The last post is cut off).

Finished the project quickly tonight and had some material left over, so I made another small pillowcase for my couch pillow.

Tacky? ✅
Better than before? ✅
A teal recliner. On top of it are two pillows with cases that have a decorative collage of marvel comic book covers as the design. A row of comic books is in the background on a bookcase shelf. A green blanket with two pillows on top of it. The pillowcases have a decorative collage of marvel comic book covers.

My dog is very cute and just a little mischievous which is great because occasionally I get good pictures of him and in exchange he slams into my leg hard enough while playing that I sprain my knee and fall to the ground in pain but now I know how to use crutches so yeah a pretty good deal I guess 🤠

Spent the day with my siblings and went to a cool bookstore. They had a preorder tag for John’s new book!
A wooden sign that reads: “Buy books from people who want to sell books not colonize the moon.” The top says the name of the bookstore: Off the Beaten Path. A ticket that reads: “take me to the front desk to preorder ‘Hollywood, Ending’ by John Green.” Customers who use the ticket will receive 10% off when they preorder using the ticket.

Went to my FLGS for free rpg day and came back with some cool gifts as well as these two solo journaling rpgs! I’m excited :3
Two role playing game handbooks on top of a colorful blanket featuring the Tardis from Doctor Who. The first rpg guide is “Out for Delivery” by Buddy Skaggs, which has an anthropomorphic calico cat delivering mail on its cover. The second is “Fetch my Blade” by Kelly Tran and Ethan Yen and has the silhouette of a dog carrying a sword on its cover.

Thank you, @dftbarachel.dftba.social for making the coolest graphic to accompany #Readzamas !

I almost tagged her in my original post, because I knew if she was involved in any way, it would be a success. Nerdfighteria is so lucky to have her 🙌✨
Awesome artwork featuring a book made of pizza slices, above the book is the nerdfighteria hand sign and sparkles, below the book is the word Readzamas, the A’s have pepperonis in them

Got around to replacing my makeshift door sign. This Lego version will have to hold me over until I finally have time to make the quilt I’ve been thinking of for the last few years.
A yellow sticky note that says “believe”, written in blue ink, reminiscent of the sign from the series “Ted Lasso”. It is above an intricate floral light switch cover next to a door. A sign made out of lego bricks. “Believe” is spelled out in blue legos over a sheet of yellow legos. It is reminiscent of the Ted Lasso “believe” sign.

Do they make any nerdfighteria mousepads? It’s about time for a replacement and these days I’d like to see something nice before logging on.
My current mousepad, featuring Louie duck from the Duck Tales reboot series next to the phrase, “Need. More. Sleep.” The mousepad is dirty with use and stained with mysterious spots.

Went through my camera roll and found this gem. 🚫🍪‼️
A container of cookies with a ridiculously long label that reads: “Definitely NOT cookies. Please, do not eat!!! (Unless of course you’re hungry for cookies and don’t mind petty thievery.)”

Creamy potato soup with chicken and gnocchi. (Feat. Scrubs)

Not a bad way to start the week 😁
A white guy pretending to eat soup while actually just taking a selfie. He has geometric glasses and a blue button-down shirt with a cool space alien print. A bowl of soup in front of a laptop playing an episode of Scrubs. The character, JD is making an unnerved expression.

Once a year, a package shows up from my college friend. [🥳🎁]

I missed every opportunity to get a copy of this book last year (they sold out instantly with each drop), and he tracked down EVERY variant???

I have the coolest friends, man.
Four unique copies of a book, “The only band in the world” by Ryan Bird. The book covers are ornamented in the style of four eras of twenty one pilots’ music. The spines of the same four books stacked in front of twenty one pilots album, Breach on vinyl.

I think I accidentally wrote a good poem tonight while reflecting on *gestures broadly*

It would mean a lot to me if anyone reads this one. ❤️

A poem by @thgiantcloudor.dftba.social (Jesse) The stars were stolen one by one Replaced with even duller suns And no one noticed it until We needed light but darkness won I guess we should have seen it then Back when warnings still came in From astronomers and scientists, Newfound shepherds, wiser men- Can’t you see lightyears away The differences are night and day Carina’s hull has sprung a leak And Kemble is in disarray Andromeda has lost her head, And Canis now has three instead Hades’ hound patrolling heaven Isn’t pulling at your threads? But we just laughed, sat idly by Underneath the changing sky As they took the hunter’s belt And strung up half of gemini Cassiopeia lost her shine But both the bears were still alive And so we took that as our sign That everything on Earth was fine Now in dimmer days we find The darkness isn’t one we mind Who needs Polaris’s light to guide When grayscale is easy on the eyes? Still I gaze up at the crux Compare it to the holy books Something about its twinkling looks Spittingly like Serpens Caput And as for making our own light To shine out into distant night They know that we won’t even try Since we never once put up a fight

My favorite day last year was spent listening to MBMBAM naming of 2025 with her (both times) before we knew she would be gone. This year, I plan to listen while taking him on a long walk. May we all find moments of comfort this year despite the looming darkness.
A brown brindle dog melting drooped across my lap. She rests on a soft green blanket. A black and white husky puppy standing in a field with a colorful sunset and mountainous horizon behind him.

We need drafts because otherwise I’d lose some bangers to my screenshots folder. If only I had the strength to finish the thought before it was lost to time. 😔
A screenshot of a post left unfinished. It says: There’s plenty of fish in the sea. Uh okay, there’s plenty of bugs in the dirt? Like what’s your point? Many things are many places? You feeling okay, champ? You haven’t been the same since…

That’s a little bit personal, but okay…
A screenshot of a text that reads “How many inches did you get?”. This is because of the snow we got last night, but it took me a second… Also in the picture is the music player showing the song, “Kyrie” by Mr. Mister.
