In new areas, there is a separate drainage system for rainwater, and neighbourhoods where it all goes into the sewer system have had more issues with sewer backups. Always best to keep water far from your foundation, not bring it inside. Good luck!

Looks like your eavestroughs are delivering all of the rain from the roof into your basement and dropping it into a pipe that connects to the sewer system under the basement floor. Common in the 50’s and 60’s but not a good idea. A roofing/eavestrough company can get proper downspouts for you.

Very interesting article. I’d also be curious to know what the national and int’l figures look like (impact of this migration from Canada to US). I’m also curious about similar analysis for first world vs developing world.

Disappointing but not unexpected. (I mean, writers didn’t even give McDavid the Calder. It’s like they don’t stay up once the eastern games are over.) Bouchard may not have won but should have been on the ballot.

Seems decent to me, but a bit odd that both deadline deals have come with Chicago, which is the former team of our GM. Is this a case of a GM who prefers his former players, like Holland did with some of his trades with Detroit? (Andreas Athanasiou and Mike Green, which didn't work out...)
