btw Kanye did a song Heil Hitler and no one stepped in to oppose his tour(s), which is ongoing. In fact, Kanye is scheduled to perform at one of the stadiums Macklemore has been stopped from being at.

Word to the wise: if your defense attorney tells you that you don’t need to appear for court, don’t! And definitely don’t argue with security about your phone and get arrested before your attorney gets to court! Please!

I don’t believe AI will kill us all. But I do believe it can make all our lives worse, which has already started to come into effect, and it’s clear that the people behind the technology don’t care at all about the human cost.

1996: can't use the internet without your phone

2010: the internet stretches before you like the vast expanse of a new frontier. You dance through it, unhindered. Unburdened. You have never heard of 2-factor authentication.

This is your periodic reminder that the Supreme Court has had a Republican majority for longer than I have been alive (I am 51 years old) and only court expansion would immediately end the MAGA right's hold on the court and its use of the court to destroy democracy.

One of my pet theories is that a lack of distress tolerance is one of the main differences between people who function in society and people who don’t
Discomfort is an essential part of growth and wouldn’t it be so embarrassing to be the exact same person thirty years from now, in a totally different world, because you were so averse to discomfort?

I'm sure I've posted about this before but whatever, here's a new thread on the subject: why it does not bother me in the slightest if my clients did what they are charged with doing.
I'm seriously begging authors to come talk to a defense lawyer before they try to write fiction about us. There are things that trouble us. "My client wants to go to trial and we might win" is absolutely not one of them.

Well even then I believe the punishments for such crimes are quite excessive. I believe in redemption. I believe people are worth more than the one (or even several) bad thing they did. I don't believe extremely long prison sentences make sense in all but a tiny handful of cases.

Please just know that most orgs in the anti-trafficking space are extremely concerned about the grant awarded to OUR. They are not considered a trusted or reputable direct services provider.

Can't think of a thing that will radicalize a generation faster than "you've gotta let that old man in the corner over there see what's inside those pants before you play Kindergarten volleyball."
An initiative on the ballot in Washington state in November would require all athletes seeking to play girl's sports from kindergarten to high school to undergo "genetic screening, a testosterone-levels test, or an examination of their reproductive anatomy" before they can play

It’s worth noting that Taco Bell identified the source before the FDA did, and promptly pulled it from their stores. The FDA didn’t even name the source until Taylor Farms outed themselves, and hasn’t issued a recall. Basically, Taco Bell is now a more reliable authority than the FDA.
