*at this moment in time* S is pretty good at not putting weird stuff in his mouth. BUT I do see what you mean! So I will err on the side of caution and form another plan and work up to the little rocks when S is older.
In general I just don't want a ton of sand. 😅

The spouse and I discussed that there needs to be a mini series of Carmy's journey to finding a new job (tbh, he should be a cookbook illustrator), a mini series of Richie's Japan trip, and Sydney's Restaurant (which will also heavily include Sugar).

I have found that the best pencils and erasers are "for artists" (and mechanical will always be top tier *for me*) so rabbit down that hole with caution. 😅
