A month ago, Jessica Ivey and Samuel Jenkins were charged with manslaughter for allowing their kids cautious freedom. How do parents win between these two opposing cultural phenomenon in this age? www.nytimes.com/2025/08/06/o...

I don't know the solution but sometimes knowing is better than wondering. Customer service is meant to fail you. How do we connect to the person and not the employee?

That Dropped Call With Customer Service? It Was on Purpose.
Endless wait times and excessive procedural fuss—it’s all part of a tactic called “sludge.”

Over the last 8 yrs, did people feel a benefit of these tax cuts? Enough to pull safety nets & benefits as those listed below while increasing funding for defense and immigration. Also, funds for immigration raids have not helped America but disrupt our workforce

A List of Nearly Everything in the Senate G.O.P. Bill, and How Much It Would Cost or Save
The legislation includes tax cuts as well as big cuts to Medicaid, food benefits and other programs, and it would add more than $3 trillion to the national debt.

Voyageurs NP. #NationalParks The beaver remains elusive but this is the closest I've ever been to their activity. Beautiful park that is worth the visit.

Water is not a chameleon as it shapes itself to its surroundings. It sustains with longevity. It has strength as its molecules move together as one force. It adapts but also erodes what stands in its way. So like Bruce Lee said, "Be water, my friend." Just don't get stuck in an eddy.

"Empty your mind.
Be formless, shapeless, like water.
You put water into a cup; it becomes the cup.
You put water into a bottle; it becomes the bottle.
You put it into a teapot; it becomes the teapot.
Now water can flow, or it can crash.
Be water, my friend.”

So many birds! Merlin list in comments by sound. I couldn't capture any of them as they are fast and small so nothing added to my life list. What a beautiful day for a run and to be able to listen to such beauty

USAid Nat Parks CDC SAMHSA FDA CMS gutted or with drastic cuts. Head Start on the cutting block, rural health threatened, suicide hotlines to be severed, and the economy is still volatile due to waffling tariffs. Less nature, science, alliances, safety, education, & healthcare. How is this great?

FEMA declined in AR after tornadoes, KY after flooding, some WV counties after flooding. People wanted a business man and they're getting it. FEMA under Trump acts like health insurance companies. Say no and keep making them appeal.

$6mil/yr to imprison the nonconvicted to inflate claims of immigration control. No convictions no sentences. How long will they be in CECOT? There is a process and everyone deserves that. To admit error and audaciously say there's nothing to do is an outright lie

Only dismantling, no building. Food relief, medicaid, coal mine inspections, FDA, HHS, Nat Parks, research cuts. Inflation is still up. Unemployment overall trend remains upward. Taking away safety nets. No benefits for the everyday person. Who does Trump and his cronies work for? The oligarchy

It starts with rhetoric of unbased fear to falsely justify inhumane acts. Changes are insidious until it's not. None of these men had due process. This is not the American way. There is no more room to coax and play. Our democratic leaders need to make an indomitable stand

1 a place to work
2 to engage in community
3 to further curiosities
4 to open up worlds of imagination
5- to hear perspectives other than your own
6- to preserve history
7- a place to learn... why isn't that enough?
