I'm watching Needful Things, which is kind of a 90's time capsule of a movie, and especially so because it starred J.T. Walsh. That dude seriously ruled.

Pump Up the Volume at 30: A Middle Finger to America’s Suburban Monotony — Crooked Marquee
The teen-talk drama, which hit theaters 30 years ago, maintains its considerable potency thanks to it unapologetic earnestness and timeless themes.

Heart’s 1985 self titled album came out while I was in Jr. High, but I don’t hold that against it. Side 1 especially is stacked with hits.

DO NOT WATCH THREADS. It makes The Day After look like Bedknobs and Broomsticks.
I had to Google it. Apparently there's a British movie called Threads that came out in 1984.

I was like, "there's an app called The Day After?"

IS GOD IS is a magnificent feature film debut from
Aleshea Harris. Kara Young and Mallori Johnson are fierce af and darkly funny. This a brutal revenge story and Sterling K. Brown gives a sinister, egosentric performance. Highly recommend. #filmsky

I can't believe it took me 27 years to finally watch The Straight Story. What an incredible, beautiful, film. It's a road trip, it's a character study, it's the heartfelt sincerity that is usually buried in the center of a David Lynch film surfaced and put on full display.

I’ve made the banana curry pizza at home and it tastes pretty good. It provides similar sweet/savory combination to ham and pineapple. I really don’t mind weirdo pizzas. The crust is an empty canvas upon which many types of masterpieces can be created.
In fact pineapple pairs well with ham on a pizza. I would not combine it with sausage or pepperoni. That said, I would probably draw the line at the banana pizza allegedly popular in Scandanvia:

Absolutely one of the best films I've seen so far this year, & all the more astounding given it's a young director's first feature. Don't miss this one now that it's finally come to streaming.
