Like… she managed to build her Toph deck as Gruul Spellslinger Aristocrats. Those words -shouldn’t go together-, and yet she nails the dismount and it feels like an exciting bracket 3 deck that has such a surprise factor at various tables. I’d love to learn how to build like that!

After piloting Toph tonight, my pod’s opinion is, “Who needs Mass Disruption when Talon Gates of Madara can feel broke like a bad joke when it keeps bouncing?” 😂 Really though, this deck was a lot of fun, Tannuk was tied with Talon Gates as MVP, excited to see how you refine the list!

Ah! I was thinking more along the lines of killing creatures/repeatable single target removal, but, to be fair, player removal makes their creatures a non-issue. lol

Thank you! I’ve definitely found it easily able to pull in a few different directions. I know you’ve mentioned you’re not a huge fan of +1/+1 counter decks, but I’m curious your thoughts on All Will Be One? Maybe it’s not enough just with the counters created with Toph’s earthbending?

Actually… I don’t think the copied land would be earthbent, which means the Phyrexian Altar doesn’t work. But a Lotus Cobra WOULD go infinite since the Cobra generates mana on landfall and then the token could tap as a land, paying for the next copy of Springheart Nantucko’s landfall trigger. Fun!

Also, I think I found a cool Earthbending combo: Springheart Nantucko can enchant an Earthbent land, duplicate that land on landfall, and then the Springheart Nantucko would see the duplicated land enter, triggering the landfall effect again. I think it goes infinite with Phyrexian Altar?
