This is the part many Americans -- including the Bezosites at the Washington Post -- don't understand. Canadians don't see this just as a Trump thing. It's that America elected him twice, and the second time with an even bigger mandate.

I’m not sure people are actually reading this article before they complain about it.
He plainly states that all this *is* scary, but not because it’s “waking up and become self aware”. It’s scary specifically because it’s going to arm malicious actors with new and dangerous capabilities.

How is this a point in favor of the war? That's a bad law.
If I wanted to coup a country to use it as a battleground in a proxy war, I'd love a law like that on the books. No pesky democracy to get in my way.

It takes two minutes of web searching to see that hte Ukrainian constitution does not allow for elections during wartime. And the viability of election integrity is impossible when they're getting bombed daily in major city centers and under constant attack. But I am starting to think you know this
