This and the repeated Boar's Head contamination events make it clear that public safety cannot be entrusted to wealthy self-interested individuals, because without an outside party forcing them to not be a goddamn sociopath they will prioritize money over society.
Feces often contaminates food when workers are
1) not provided proper toilets
2) not allowed to take breaks
3) using untreated waste water near/on crops (very bad!)
4) not provided adequate bathrooms in on-site housing
5) not cleaning workspace properly

All of which is NOT on workers.

AI and plagiarism (besides being the same thing in effect) also cause the same end result - dependence.

Repeated use makes them into a crutch that the user is afraid to get rid of. So over time their own self-confidence and ability to think creatively erodes - until at last “aid” becomes mandatory.
So the nature of plagiarism is that once you're caught, all your work becomes suspect because of the difficulty of proving a negative. It is not the plagiarists privilege to enjoy placing the burden of proof on others for the legitimacy of their work, it becomes their cross to bear.

This isn’t an impoverished regional school – this is the University of Chicago. Devastating.

The Online Safety Act has only been in effect a few days and all it's accomplished is pissing off adults who want to access the internet, made Wikipedia threaten to shut off the UK and hasn't demonstrably protected a single child.

Labour has the political instincts of cold McDonald's french fries.

Labour says Farage’s plan to repeal Online Safety Act shows he is siding with ‘extreme pornographers’ over children – UK politics live
Technology secretary Peter Kyle says Reform UK leader’s latest comments demonstrate he is ‘not on the side of children’ Good morning. Yesterday Reform UK said that it would repeal the Online Safety Act, key parts of which have only just come into force. The party described it as “the greatest assault on freedom of speech in our lifetimes” and claimed that it won’t protect children because some people are using VPN services to bypass age cerification requirements. It was quite a bold policy announcement, because polls suggest voters strongly back measures to limit the spread of harmful content online, but it has gone down well with hardcore libertarians. Peter Kyle, the science secretary, has been giving interviews this morning, and he has not held back. In an interview with Sky News, he claimed this meant that Nigel Farage was now in effect siding with pornographers and paedophiles like Jimmy Savile. He explained: When it comes to online activity, we have seen unfettered access of adults to children via social media. When we put in the age verification, it stops strange adults getting in touch with children … Nigel Farage is on the side of turning the clock back to the time when strange adults, strangers, can get in touch via messenging apps with children. We have now asked [social media companies] to age verify the age at which people can have access to online content so we can protect children from unwanted, dangerous content, and also those messaging services. What if we chose to NOT make a world where CEOs earn 52 times more than the actual workers who produce the product and still struggle to make ends meet? I know it's extreme, but I believe people shouldn't starve at the same time others are buying a second yacht? Sorry for being a radical lefty.
