Announcing another Crooked Highway project! This one's exciting. Not only is it a property our company is madly in love with, but I finally get to make a movie with Karyn Kusama! We. Are. Pumped.

Also, the game is dropping on consoles this week! Play it! It's amazing!

This is one of the scenarios I always run by studios asking about whether they should use AI: your generative AI is generating tremendous tech debt at heavily subsidized token costs, and even minor corrections are likely going to burn even more. Can your studio take that risk?
At first it was “how does this new feature work” and developers would be hazy on details. Now it’s “how do *existing* features work ensure compatibility with *new* features?”, or discovering core architectural decisions Claude made 8 months ago just now emerging as problems for future development.

Sir Ian McKellen has made a statement on the tragic passing of Sir Patrick Stewart.

“He wore his heart on his sleeve, which made him a man to rely on, to admire and in my case, love.”

Patrick Stewart regularly highlighting his close friendship with Ian McKellen in ways that said "fuck you" to homophobes is honestly something we need more cis het men to do.

Great piece but I’d argue this is not counter-intuitive at all - however I don’t regularly meet people who want to be a video game critics. (I only started writing reviews for bigger publications late in my writing career, despite publishing op-eds.)

Woke up to the US government running my fanart through AI and posting it. Obviously I completely disavow this, and did not consent to it.

Anyway, you can’t hurt us kids. We lived through so much shit, we’d look at the zombie apocalypse and be like “yeah that might as well happen”.

The nightmare here is that as millennials we had exactly one short period where things were good for us - ie when we were kids just becoming teens/adults - and we’ve been living in perpetual hell since. It’s the whole thing of why dreams are worse than nightmares: Nightmares end, dreams never happen
Lmao Gen Z are dressing as Millenial Optimism for Halloween
