So, Loki is a conundrum. She is scared, but violent. Absolutely murderous, but likes an ear rub once she calms down. She bites, hard and fast (I've avoided this).

She reminds me A LOT of Milton who was my first adult feral and five years later is my sweetest snuggle bug.
A very perfect and adorable grey cat who will absolutely scratch your eyeballs out if you come any closer. She is sitting up on top of her litterbox and glaring at us.

The blood sacrifice has been accepted and now she will do playtime with the feather wand.

I also offered a small piece of sacrificial bacon which was appreciated. (Don't come for me, it was fingernail sized)

In other news, Loki is BIG FURIOUS and very hitty/spotty/hissy/lunge-y.

I have paid in blood twice today, and wasn't even trying to bother her!

I think she's grumpy Ahsoka left, even though she would also be grumpy if Ahsoka tried to cuddle her.

Had to go do some things at Dad's place today. But these tulips I bought for mum a few years ago were almost flowering and it's bittersweet.

I'll raid her garden when my house is finished and bring things home to live with me.

We are stepping up The Desensitisation Of Loki because she really would like to be out of the crate and I really would like to not die of Cat Bite.

Desensitisation is hard work! One eye is squinty and she would bite out faces if she could. How dare! I am bothering a small grey cat by rubbing her all over with a rabbit fur wand. She wants to bite me. She is furious. But she ended up liking it.

I've also been allowed to pat her, which is always nice - sometimes cats take a bit to remember we're friends! But Ahsoka is still letting me give her all the love.

Barney! Barney got desexed yesterday so hurray for no testicles. But they also x-rayed his lungs and dude is A MESS.

He's being switched to a steroid puffer to see if that helps. His lungs are full of scarring and he wouldn't have survived much longer without human intervention.
A very very cute half grown kitten on my chest. He is tabby and white and has perfect little ears and the best white whiskers. We're hanging out on the recliner.

Ahsoka would like to be BFFs immediately with Ginny thank you.

She is amazingly cat friendly and introduction to Gen Pop is going smoothly.

Ginny's ears are due to my failure to properly scritch her, how dare I take photos.

I really do have a soft spot for the angriest black girls.

Estelle is perpetually furious, communicates by growling and hissing, and haaates other cats.

But she also lets me use her as a pillow and lays in my arms like a baby. Best cat.

And then it was all okay. Ahsoka had a snack, and remembered she likes me, and I was forgiven for finding her hiding spot and untucking her.

I was given many apology headbutts and I'm hoping we can remain friends.

We had fish for dinner last night and thus, I had delicious bribes.

Freedom is very very scary and Ahsoka isn't sure she likes it.

She was whappy and hissy and everything was TERRIBLE.

Ahsoka is a FREEDOM KITTEN!

I scooped her out of the crate this morning and she was so scared and so soft on my lap briefly.

She has discovered all the good hidey spots in the studio, and while she was Very Scared, she let me pat her still.

I shifted Loki's bed TWICE while I cleaned and scooped litter, and this apparently necessitates lots of spitting and slapping?

But we had apology treats and I was allowed to rub her head.

Excitement! Loki let me give her lots of ear rubs, and didn't feel the need to keep her eyes on me every second!

I think she even enjoyed it.

MORE BREAKING NEWS.

I touched Cadence at breakfast and she LET ME and she enjoyed her butt scritches!

(Cadence is the black cat - she's been here since January. She was SO terrified when she arrived. Socialisation has been slow.)

Ahsoka would like to let everyone know it was VERY SCAWWY being gently lifted off the litterbox lid and placed into the bed. (So I could scoop litter)

But she didn't panic! This photo was after the scooping and some big pats, when she was letting her ears back out of safety position.

It looks like Loki is ready to murder me, but I asked permission and was allowed to pat her head and rub her ears. She didn't hiss, grumble, or smack me.

Ahsoka pulled this face the entire time, but still enjoyed her snuggles.
