Thank you for thinking of me! :) We're researching these issues at the @stewardshiplab.org and I'd be very happy to work with registry maintainers on this. IMO, it would be good to have a community where registry maintainers can come together and learn from each other on these issues.

Hard breaks at column 80 have been a thing for decades. For projects that use mailing lists for contributions, like the Linux kernel, or everything on Sourcehut, most people still hard-wrap text.
