Lead by Lizzy, we are a small group of local birdwatchers. We aim to record 100+ species of birds within 2 miles of Warwick town centre each year. And then drink beer.
Following an admin error (sorry team!) we discovered that our marsh harrier at the racecourse was actually bird 100! 🎉🎉
And we're straight onto 101 with a barn owl spotted in the area late evening yesterday.
Time to arrange our celebration drinks!

The big finch flock is still enjoying the sunflowers in Old Milverton, with at least three brambling among them today.

The Warwick 100 are up to 74 now, with a great crested grebe spotted on the lake at the Warwickshire golf course this morning.

A smattering of redpoll in a flock of feeding siskins takes the Warwick 100 team to 73 😊
The huge mixed flock is still there too, with 3 brambling seen today.
It's amazing how quickly a farmer allowing a field to go to seed can change things - we haven't seen near these numbers here before .

What a day for the Warwick 100 team yesterday!
As if multiple bramblings weren't enough, Neil added a firecrest to the list, heard amongst the evergreens between the farmland and river, at the Saxon Mill Fields. Old Milverton coming up trumps again!

Hundreds of finches, doves and corvids seen by Chris Hill, all feeding along Old Milverton Road, just inside the Warwick 100 area.
At least 10 brambling present, which gives us our 71st species for the year so far.
