Corporations are not people.

They should not be able to buy politicians.

Big news: The family of Tierra Walker, who died after she couldn't get an abortion, is suing a slate of Texas actors in state court, including AG Ken Paxton. They say the state ban is unconstitutional.

This is the first suit of its kind.

Tierra Walker died after she couldn’t get an abortion. Her family is suing Ken Paxton
The case, filed Tuesday, argues that Texas’ near-total abortion ban violates the state and U.S. Constitutions, which “prohibit state actors from killing their citizens.”

The five biggest defense contractors spent more than $100B on buybacks and dividends since 2020.

I have a simple question for defense contractors:

If taxpayers are giving you billions to build military equipment, why are you buying back your own stock?

This needs to stop.

I know you're not allowed to say this during the current debate, but the reason the left dominates academics, art, comedy, and music is that the right has stupid, discredited ideas, they're not funny, and dull resentment does not make for good art. No grand conspiracy required.

Rand Paul and The Rs on Homeland Sec committee, which just voted on straight party lines to refer Fauci for contempt, are an absolute kangaroo court. The Hollywood 10 were convicted of contempt during McCarthy days; and this will go down in history as a similar moment of opprobrium and insanity.

Corporate spending on elections has already topped $500 million this year.

That's one third of the $1.58 billion in total that corporations have spent since Citizens United in 2010.

Hawaii and Montana both have plans to neutralize this disastrous SCOTUS ruling.

Other states must get on board.
