Look you don’t have to like me, but I try really hard to not be a shitty property manager. I’m not a landlord, that means I own properties I do not own properties. Every single state has different rules and regulations on how they do things. I have helped people in my state get illegal evictions 1/

I mean technically you can’t charge people for a repaint unless there is damage to the paint. My job includes a great deal of legal training and frankly it is not easy nor is it for the faint of heart. And I try to keep people’s rent affordable & help people that a lot of managers would turn away.

You have no idea how many times I have gone into a unit after a family has moved out and there are full blown family portraits on the wall. Like do kids draw on walls? yup. Should you as a parent clean it up before you leave? Yup. I can count on one has how many times I’ve had damage from pets.

I mean as a property manager if I could charge an extra fee for people having kids I would. I just tend to collect like a one time flat fee per pet. For like 2 cats it’s a $150 total. But why isn’t kid rent a thing??
