Ah, thanks for the offer. We have a short trip planned as we’ve never been there. Eventually, we’ll go up for some fly fishing adventure.

My wife and I will be there in November. Not for fly fishing, alas. I’ve researched a promising fly fishing shop though…will stop, will spend. 😃

I started seeing videos of fly fishing in Japan & loved the artful way of the casts. The visit to the Tsuruga Fly Shop was helpful in steering me to give it a try. I know steams & lakes can be crowded, but a peaceful day of fishing alone or nearly so, in beautiful surroundings is attractive to me.
