The second night, I started up a campfire (because it’s mandatory that you have one if camping. Non negotiable) and roasted up some Hot Dogs. Had buns and ketchup of course. My second camp movie was “The Last of the Mohicans” which is always great, but out camping…spectacular.

Had a nice two day camping weekend for Labor Day, and got to test out my new WhiteDuck 10’ Regatta Bell Tent. It was so much fun, I almost didn’t want to leave.
Had Spaghetti the first night. And watched “A Bridge Too Far”

Some morning views and breakfast before I left…I meant to take a picture of the three pancakes I made before I ate them. They were just too good apparently.

Some pictures of the general layout of the campground. I also did my usual thing where I watch a movie. “The Eagle Has Landed” always good. And I made sure my fire died out before bed.

I made soup for dinner (since it’s quick) Vegetable and Beef stew from Campbell’s. I was advised to come to this area armed, due to bear activity, so I did. Later that night I had a Guinness (wish I brought another) “Sweeter than buttermilk and stronger than tea” as they say. And I had a fire.

I left the Lookout today- It was an amazing experience, and I really didn’t want to leave it, but my reservation was up.
Next year, I will come back to this one. Too good to never return again-even with the wind.

Hey Everybody! It’s me again, the man who camps on Weekends!

Well, today is Friday…I took the day off, and made the climb up to a place I had reserved months in advance. This is new to me. I’ve never done the kinds of trails I just did to get up here.

Dinner was a test of the MiniMo, I bought two of these Mountain House meals. One Dinner, one Breakfast. The Beef Stroganoff was Ok, the Biscuits and Gravy…I‘ve made better.

I have once again gone out on another camping trip. My fourth now. Decided to test out my new MiniMo Jetboil stove. (Worked great) and as per usual, had myself a movie night in the woods. (Von Ryan’s Express)

Well, April 2nd was the day. She stopped eating and drinking the Sunday before that…and I didn’t want her to suffer any more, or die without me being there. So, I made the tough decision to have my Blazer put down. Miss her everyday.
